News - Penlight Receives Partial Spanish Translation!

Hello, all!

Today I wanted to talk about something that's been happening behind the scenes that probably isn't exciting to a lot of you, but is something I'm nonetheless really stoked about. 

I have to say, as the developer of an indie visual novel that I'm still doing largely as a hobby, I had no plans whatsoever to consider localising the game into other languages. However, thanks to an opportunity offered to me by one of Penlight's biggest fans (you know them on my Discord server as Waldo), there's a real chance Penlight will be dual-language before too long! 

Currently the first two in-game days have been translated, and from the next release you'll be able to select the language in the preferences menu and read for yourself. Like I say, it's probably not exciting to many current readers, but I'm kinda thrilled at the prospect of opening up the game to a bunch of potential new readers for whom English is not a language they're comfortable with.

Anyway, this feature will make its debut in the early access release coming this weekend, while the public debut will be on next month's release on the 11th of July. Look out for it!
